Our Mission
Return of Idlewild is a cultural investment initiative using arts, tourism, and community to strengthen the future of Idlewild, Michigan.
Our work is rooted in three commitments:
Preservation — honoring the history and legacy of Black Eden.
Infrastructure — creating the experiences and partnerships that strengthen the local economy.
Ownership — inspiring more Black families, entrepreneurs, and investors to return, purchase property, and help shape Idlewild’s future.
Every retreat, tour, conversation, and partnership is designed to move us closer to that vision.
